Yesterday, September 24th, Wayne County CEO students experienced what it’s like to be a real estate broker. They spent the morning with Ethan Keyser, owner and managing broker of Keys Real Estate in Fairfield, Illinois, along with broker Katelyn Hunt.

Students toured two current listings before returning to the office, where they worked in groups to design a social media post for one of the properties using Canva. Each group presented their post, receiving feedback from Ethan and Katelyn on best practices for branding—such as the importance of including a logo, location, and contact information.

Ethan and Katelyn also shared insights into sales as a career path. Ethan explained how his personality type complements the real estate industry, while Katelyn described her background and journey into sales. Though their approaches to working with clients differ, both have found success. Ethan also walked students through the requirements for obtaining a real estate license in Illinois.

A big thank-you to Keys Real Estate for sharing your time, expertise, and continued financial support of the Wayne County CEO Program!
