Last Friday, November 14th, Wayne County CEO hosted its second Mentor Mixer of the program year! Students had the opportunity to meet with their mentors and receive personalized advice on their individual businesses.

During the event, students and mentors teamed up for a fun, fast-paced activity: creating a 30-second pitch for a fictional startup. Ideas ranged from an app that reads your pet’s mind, to a “reverse rent” subscription service that lets customers rent high-end items and later purchase them at a deep discount, to Zoom Guitar, an app that auto-tunes and teaches simple songs on the guitar. After brainstorming, teams presented their pitches to the larger group.
