On Wednesday, November 19th, Bert Biggs, Career Counselor with Fairfield Community High School spoke with Wayne County CEO students about the importance of developing strong communication and listening skills—skills that serve us well not only in business, but in life. She also discussed the power of nonverbal communication and how we often “speak” without saying a word.

Students participated in several activities demonstrating how “noise” can interrupt communication and distort messages. Most importantly, Bert emphasized that listening is a skill that must be intentionally developed and consistently practiced in order to be truly effective.

Thank you Bert for joining Wayne County CEO for the day!
