On Monday, December 1st, the Wayne County CEO Class got an early start with a business visit to Bare’s Flooring in Fairfield. Brandi Bare and her husband, Ian, purchased the business three years ago from Hase Interiors and immediately hit the ground running. Before officially taking over, Brandi spent two months training with former owner Richard Hase to learn the flooring industry from the ground up.

In addition to acquiring the business, the Bares purchased and remodeled a new location, on North First Street in Fairfield, to better serve their customers. During the visit, Brandi spoke with students about the importance of strong customer service—especially in a field where unexpected variables can sometimes delay installation timelines. She also emphasized the need to secure deposits on special and custom orders to protect the business and ensure materials are covered.

Students toured both the showroom and the storage facility, gaining insight into the logistics and inventory management required for handling large flooring materials.

We thank Brandi for taking the time to meet with our students, and we wish her and Ian continued success in the New Year!
