Yesterday, March 25th, Wayne County CEO students had the opportunity to visit with Landon Willett, co-owner and operator of Fusion Coffee in Fairfield. Landon shared the story behind Fusion Coffee, from the rehabilitation of the building they now call home to how the business has grown from its early years to where it is today, along with plans for future expansion.

During the visit, Landon answered students’ questions about how the name Fusion Coffee was created, his favorite parts of the job, and how he maintains a healthy work-life balance. He also talked about their portable coffee shop and how it has helped expand their reach in the community.

Students were especially interested in where he gets his ideas. Landon explained that many of his closest college friends are fellow baristas, and they constantly share ideas and inspiration with one another.

Throughout the visit, Landon demonstrated impressive multitasking—greeting customers, preparing drinks, and filling online orders—all while engaging with the group. He shared that one of his favorite aspects of the job is the creativity it allows, from making all of their syrups in-house to developing new seasonal recipes.

Thank you, Landon, for taking the time to share your experience and insights with our students!
