On Wednesday, April 15th, Wayne County CEO students had the opportunity to visit with Julie Shreve, owner and operator of Studio 6:8 in Fairfield.

Spending time with Julie at her shop on Elm Street felt less like a business visit and more like being welcomed into her home—where every guest is treated like an old friend. What began as a passion for woodworking in her home has grown into a thriving business. Today, Julie offers furniture restoration, custom engraving on a wide variety of items for gifts, weddings, and special events, as well as custom screen printing. She continues to create handcrafted furniture and is now expanding into custom arches and backdrops for wedding rentals.

Students shared that they were amazed by the range of products Julie can create and left inspired by her creativity and entrepreneurial journey. Thank you to Julie for hosting and sharing her story!
