Wayne County CEO Visits Blessed Blooms Flower Farm & Market
Wayne County CEO students spent the morning at Blessed Blooms Flower Farm & Market on Wednesday, August 26th. Owners Alyssa Short and Ashley Musgrave met with the students and gave them insight into how their business has evolved—from an inventive way to cut costs for Alyssa’s wedding into an evolving flower shop and farmers market.
Alyssa and Ashley shared how much they continue to learn about their business and industry every day. They also shared how even the smallest changes can make a big difference. One example was adding a walkway and door connecting the market to the store on the market side of the building, which has significantly improved customer satisfaction and increased foot traffic.
The owners are continually looking for new ways to grow their business, increase visibility, and better serve their customers—an important lesson for our students as they learn what it takes to build and grow a successful business.
Students were also treated to a hands-on lesson in floral arranging. After creating their own arrangements, students were instructed to share them with a teacher at school that day.
