Pickleball Day with Wayne County CEO

On Wednesday, September 7, Wayne County CEO students stepped away from the boardroom for a fun and active learning experience with members of the Wayne County Pickleball Club!

Students had the opportunity to learn more about the growing popularity of pickleball and, of course, get on the court to experience the game for themselves. They also learned about the “business of pickleball” and the opportunities that come with the sport’s continued growth.

Kathy Book challenged students to think beyond the game itself, sharing how pickleball can teach valuable skills that translate directly into the workplace—especially collaboration, communication, and teamwork.

When playing doubles, communication is key! Players have to communicate clearly, listen to their partner, and work together to be successful. These same skills are essential in the workplace, and our CEO students are learning that effective communication and teamwork can make all the difference.
