Wayne County CEO Kicks Off Mentor Program

Wayne County CEO students kicked off this year’s Mentor Program last Tuesday, September 15, with a fun and fast-paced “Speed Dating” experience.

Students had four minutes to introduce themselves, share a little about their interests and goals, and get to know a potential mentor before moving on to meet the next community volunteer. While the conversations were brief, they provided a great opportunity for students and mentors to begin making connections and discovering common interests.

The Mentor Program continues to be one of the most impactful experiences of the CEO program. Throughout the school year, each student will have the opportunity to develop a professional relationship with a local small business owner or community leader. These mentors serve as an invaluable resource for students, sharing their experiences, knowledge and guidance as students navigate the many adventures and opportunities that the CEO experience has to offer.

We are grateful to the local business owners and community leaders who generously invest their time and experience in the next generation of Wayne County leaders! We are also thankful to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for offering their Medical Education Room at Horizon Healthcare for our monthly meetings!
