Building Connections at Our First Mentor Mixer!

Wayne County CEO students enjoyed their first monthly Mentor Mixer on Thursday, October 15th! These monthly gatherings give students the opportunity to connect with their mentors, share their progress, and gain valuable insights from local business and community leaders.

A special thank-you to Mary McCulley at Fairfield Memorial Hospital for arranging our meeting space in the Medical Education Suites at Horizon Healthcare!

Students also had the opportunity to visit with Nathan Gentz, FMH Foundation Director. Nathan shared his background in small business ownership and his transition into the healthcare sector. He also offered valuable advice on “how to make the ask” when it comes to closing a sale or securing a financial commitment—an important skill for any aspiring entrepreneur!

Students and mentors participated in a M&M icebreaker game, giving students and mentors a fun way to get acquainted. Students also brought their mentors up to speed on everything they've been working on and planning in CEO!

We're grateful for the support of our mentors and community partners who invest their time and knowledge in helping our students grow as future business leaders!
